Director
Craig focuses his attention on the day-to-management of HireNetworks and Campbell & James Executive Search, offering executive, strategic hiring services including on-site and on demand recruiting to emerging and high-growth companies and career management for individuals in the specialty skill areas of IT, Scientific, Sales and Finance.
Before founding HireNetworks in April of 2001, Craig spent three years as VP/COO of the DC-based recruiting firm Edgesource. Prior to this, he spent six years serving IBM in several roles including analyst, software sales consultant and manager of the company’s mobile and wireless group. Craig has four children and played college and professional tennis. He has an Accounting degree from Elon University.
Craig has modeled HireNetworks and Campbell and James after the emerging growth companies that make up its client list. As regional investor, Craig stays engaged in the entrepreneurial experience with the value of his network. He is a member of the Atlantis Group angel fund, Southern Capital Ventures, and RTP Angels.
Craig is also an active member on the board of directors for the non-profit organization Band Together and the Triangle Technology Executives Council (TTEC). He resides in Raleigh with his wife and their four boys.
David Russo

David Russo is Founder and President of Eno River Associates, Inc., a human resources consulting practice which advises companies and executives on employee engagement issues, Employer of Choice initiatives and Human Capital Management best practices including HR technology choices. He is also a past Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer for the world’s leading human resources professional association, The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He also serves as SHRM’s liaison to the HR-XML Consortium, a sponsored non-profit group dedicated to establishing standards aimed at facilitating HR data interfaces, and as a member of SHRM’s ATP (Advance the Profession) Senior Communications Council.
Until he began his consulting practice, David was the president and chief executive officer of Empliant, Inc., providers of ASP-delivered employee self-reliant human resources technology solutions.
Mr. Russo joined Empliant after serving as executive vice president of human resources for high-tech startup BuildNet, where he “digitized” human resources administration through the use of Web-enabled technology. Prior to BuildNet, Mr. Russo spent 19 years at SAS Institute, the world’s largest privately held software company. His implementation and management of cutting-edge human resources programs brought SAS national recognition as an innovator in providing and understanding the benefits of a quality work environment that supports work/life issues. Under his direction SAS was named in Fortune magazine’s “Top Ten Best Companies To Work For” for three consecutive years, placed 10 times in Working Mother magazine’s “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers” and received Work Force magazine’s “Optima” award for 1999.
Mr. Russo received SHRM’s 1999 Award for Professional Excellence. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of human resources management and its increased importance in the workplace today. He also was named to HR Executive magazine’s HR Honor roll.
